Supplementary Labour Division
The Supplementary Labour Division (SLD) serves as the application office of the Enhanced Supplementary Labour Scheme (ESLS). It vets employers' applications for importation of workers under the ESLS and undertakes the following activities to safeguard the employment rights of workers imported under the scheme and to ensure that the scheme is not abused:
- investigating cases related to imported workers under ESLS;
- operating a 24-hour complaint hotline (auto-recording service available outside service hours) to receive complaints under the scheme;
- conducting briefing sessions for imported workers to promote workers' employment rights and benefits; and
- distributing various publicity materials such as leaflets and information cards to imported workers.
