Mandatory Safety Training Courses

Workers engaged in specified high-risk industries / activities / machinery operations shall hold the relevant certificates of the following mandatory safety training courses recognised by the Commissioner for Labour:

  1. Mandatory Basic Safety Training Courses (commonly known as ‘Green Card’)
  2. Confined Spaces Safety Training Courses
  3. Training Courses for Operators of Crane
  4. Training Courses for Operators of Loadshifting Machine
  5. Training Courses for Persons Working on Suspended Working Platforms
  6. Gas Welding Safety Training Courses

Note: Persons who intend to enrol in the above training courses (including revalidation training courses) may choose any training course provider which runs courses recognised by the Commissioner for Labour.


Notice: Persons who are interested in enrolling in the Mandatory Safety Training (MST) courses (including the Green Card course) provided by Training Course Providers (TCPs) recognised by the Labour Department (“LD”) should be wary of individuals drawing on online social platforms or other communication media to claim they can provide proof of working experience or employer reference letters and guarantee to assist in obtaining relevant safety training course certificate.  If you encounter or suspect such activities, please report them immediately to the LD via mobile phone apps “OSH 2.0”or online Occupational Safety and Health complaint platform at this link.
