Remark: The Labour Department has issued a revised Guidance Notes on the Selection, Use and Maintenance of Safety Helmets (“GN”) in June 2018. Some of the above TV announcements were produced prior to the issue of GN and therefore do not reflect the requirement of wearing safety helmets with chin straps. The GN prevails regarding the specifications and use of the safety helmets.
